Today was the first day for my michelin pilot sport cups, the dedicated roadrace tires. They are a soft compound. During my last session, I felt the left front wheel shake during high speed right turns. I brought the car home expecting to find a suspension problem. Instead, I found a tremendous amount of rubber built up on the inner half of the tire. It was irregular enough to give me the vibration. The fronts are worse than the rear.
Does anybody have ideas on this?
My suspension is pretty plain except for Bilsteins. I had the tires at 36psi.
Should I just scrape off the accumulated rubber, or will it come off with some side to side turning?
I will be driving again tomorrow, 3 more high speed sessions.
Thanks.
