Windshield wiper question/problem
If I hit the windshield wiper switch or turn on the wipers on my 2002 they will not go off until they run for a couple on minutes, almost like they have to time out first. Anyone have that problem and what might be the cause? Thanks. Sid.

Water maybe backing up into the motor due to debris (leaves) under the air inlet cover by the windshield wipers. There are 2 drains (about 3" long and 2" diameter) that drain this area and if you got debris in this area it will back up the drains and water will get to the motor. The drains are located on the driver's side engine compartment by fender (close to firewall). If you get the water out of this area, the motor may dryup and be ok.
