Default Tire Sensor

My right rear tire sensor is reporting a pressure that is 10 pounds lower than it really is. As a result I get an error reproted for low pressure on the RR Tire. Is there anything that I can do to correct the problem?

I would guess it needs replacing, you can not repair them.

Check out your manual, your sensor needs to be recalibrated, just use a magnet and follow the book.

All that learning procedure does is establish the sensor's location on the car so it coincides with the correct display on the DIC readout. This is how it knows which sensor is the RF and which is the LR, etc.

It does not "calibrate" the sensor. The sensor itself is not servicable, and if it's reading that far off, it should be replaced.
http://www.gmpartsdirect.com will be your cheapest source.
The part # for the 97-00 cars is 10438853 $71.96 ea.
The part# for an 01-04 car is 25731358 $46.13 ea. (If you do have a newer car, it may likely still be under warranty).

Thanks for the input... My car is a 97 so maybe the battery is losing its charge... I'll give your source a shot and hope that it corrcts the problem... My tire guy gets to make another $20 on me as well!
