Read my post again, slowly. I said heads/cam or a Magna or a centrifugal blower. $7k will buy you one of those options.
Actually you said heads/cam/exhaust/intake/mag OR ATI. But since I understand what you mean now, no need to argue semantics.

...for $6-7k you can have heads, cam, exhaust, and cold air intake, a magnacharger, or the aforementioned centrifugal blower.

BTW If you are looking for an ATI kit I recommend calling Andy @ A&A Corvette. I have not had experience with his kit personally BUT I do have experience with the stock ATI kit, and all of the problems I've had with the stock ATI kit his kit supposedly addresses. It also costs about the same and you'll get direct support from one of the leading supercharging guys in the industry.

What did that system cost? Who dod you go to.
A local friend and old time drag racer repaired, fixed and troubleshot the system so I could finally get it going.
The first vendor I initially had went with, did not make me happy.

Do those rails replace your stock fuel rails like the NXL system does?

No, it is a second set of rails for the fuel to mix with the nitrous as it is injected into the cylinder.

This looks like the safe and good way to go. i was thinking of doing something similar (heads and cam).

I'm worried about super chargers and nitrous doing damage. My car only has 6000 mi on it.

Hi,

Expect to pay around $6300 for the Vortech system. The systems are complete, allowing the experienced do-it-yourselfer an effortless installation. Hopefully some owners who had their system professionally installed will chime in with an approx. cost. Thanks for the interest.

With the Blackwing, x pipe, and Corsa exhaust... you'll gain somewhere around 20 rwhp. The gain from the headers will differ depending on which length and design you go with.

A 2002 MN6 Coupe we worked on in-house gained a solid 20 rwhp from just Blackwing (and high-flow coupler), '02 Z06 main cats, and Corsa exhaust. Before these mods (completely stock), it put out 307.5 rwhp (SAE Corrected). After these mods, the same dyno showed 327.9 rwhp (SAE Corrected). That puts it at around 385 hp (net).

The Vortech system will add around 43% more horsepower to the stock LS1.

The 500 hp sounds great. I would like to do that but I need a good tuner in Ontario canada (can't seen to find an experienced tuner here). Their a long way away for me.

Who is it from Corvette Garage that lives in Ontario? Matt? He might have some help or info for you. Go to the Canadian section of the forum under events. Most of the guys their are from out east. Under the "tool" bar you can do a search with your postal code too. :yesnod: I know racer44 met some guys on a road trip...I'll see if he has some info for you. As far as a Vortech installed, probably about $13,500cdn.

I knew that they were quoting me in US. I will get in touch with Agostino Racing Engines on Mon. Thanks alot. How do u like your Vortech? How is the maintainance part of it? Do u go through alot of BS to keep it run'in right? Did u do any motor mods along with the supercharger? Any info would be appreciated. There is one place just across the boarder in N.F. N.Y, Kennedy Dyno Tune, they do the ATI for $8500 US out the door. They said I had to purchase the LS1_Edit software to.

I like my Vortech. I had to go through a few belt problems and I sheared of the Vortech crank pins, but everything was taken car of by my tuner no charge with upgraded parts. It is personal decision of which S/C to go with, ATI's seem to be working really good now that they have worked out the bugs too. H/C packages are always a good choice. You really need to talk to MattG, he has a great stroker engine in his car. Maybe that would be another choice for you. As for my car, the car runs like a normal car with the S/C it can run as a daily driver, but when you get on the load pedal it wakes up big time. As with both S/C's you can get some great numbers with a basically stock LS1/LS6 motor. All I have is LT headers and a Blackwing. Right now is a good time to purchase parts for your car as our dollar is doing so well compared to when I did my S/C.
