UPDATE: 17" M/T Street ET mounting.
On the new tire they warn you not to exceed 35 psi when mounting the tire.
My take on this is that the side wall is thin for better traction so they don't want you to damage the tire case with over inflation during mounting. Back to the present. On the C5 wheels there is a large inner lip on the front side of the wheel for the runflat tire. I assume this helps maintain the bead integrity during high cornering loads. Well this keeps the M/T from setting the outside bead properly. The backside is no problem. I am going to see M/T west on Monday morning to see if they have a solution. If not I will remove some of the lip and try again. I will keep everyone informed as to my progress.. stay tuned.

I told my UPS guy when the tires arrive, to send them back.
Thanks again for being the test subject.
Update: Mounted the tires on the car this morning and took it for a spin. I am running 22 psi of air and they still seem to crown with 9.5" wheels. TRACTION: Where I was able to spin the run flats for 60 ft, I can't even turn the tire! This is overkill with my current setup but will be reassuring when I put in the ST3500 and 3.42 gears! Looks like the wait was worth it.
