And what dilution of water to coolant are you using? Being in Florida, it seems that you could use less than 50% coolant safely, provided Water Wetter does prevent corrosion as it states.
I am in Michigan and have 2 bottles in with the anti-freeze. It doesn't seem to make any difference in the running temperature. Have 178 thermo and fan controller too.
Fred.
Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but Water wetter is a chemical wetting agent that helps the coolant coat the surfaces of your radiator and not bead off, thus promoting better heat transfer and radiator efficiency. Now, if you don't change your t-stat or reset your cooling fans, you'll still get the same operating temps. But as far as running a greater water to coolant ratio, if you don't need the freeze protection, I don't see why not. Nothings better than water for absorbing heat.

You're correct. I went from a 50/50 ratio of coolant/water to about a 25/75 of coolant/water + water wetter. My operating temps did in fact drop about 20 degrees.
I use Water Wetter in my '64 Plymouth. The directions recommend using only distilled water and no coolant. I originally didn't read the instructions(instructions? we don't need no stinkin' instructions!) and used it with coolant. Made some difference. Then I read the instructions but didn't have any distilled water around so I used tap water - made another small difference. Then I used distilled water and it made another small difference. Runs at normal operating temps now with minimal problem. Still warms up when sitting at an idle.
