Saturday I got in my C5 and the clutch was almost on the floor. I popped it up with my foot and checked the clutch fluid and it was a lil low. I added some fluid and it was fine.
This morning I left to go to work and the clutch seemed fine. After I started driving I noticed it was soft but I could shift. I get to the office and with the car out of gear sitting in the parking spot and pumped the clutch, it was fine.
Any ideas of the problem? I am thinking its a leak somewhere but there has been nothing on the driveway or that I could see without getting under the car.
Re: Clutch soft while driving, fine while sitting (adame780)
Put the car up on ramps and it looks like I have a leaky slave cylinder. Since I can not drop the transmission, have never done this and not sure if I want to try, it will be going to the shop tomorrow.
$350 out the door give or take a few. Going to fill back up with red line fluids.
