What Filter for Vararam

What Filter for Vararam
Just bought one and it came with a K&N and am not sure that it is going to work as well as vararams filters. this is a new piece, not bought used. Anyone have any experience with varam filters?

I use a Torquemaster filter. It filters extremely well with super tacky PJ1 oil. I've never seen a trace of dirt in my airbridge or at the throttle body. The only problem is the foam gasket around it is starting to come unglued after about 3 months. Others on the forum have had similar problems and a few people have just reglued it, but I never found out how. All in all, I knocked of another .17 seconds 0-60 mph over the K&N (on average). I chose the Torquemaster because I have an automatic w/ 2.73 diff. I NEED TORQUE!! Best of luck with your system :thumbs:

Try to locate a vararam filter. It breaths much better than the K&N filter. My K&N was also extremely over oiled and left oil all over the inside of my shroud and covered my throttle plate.

I only had the cheapo foam filter on for a few months before it started falling apart. Replaced it with the K&N and feel no difference in performance but am a lot more confident in it's filtering capabilty. I'll give up a tenth to know my baby's not ingesting sand and other unfriendlies!

My cheapo foam filter started falling apart the day I installed it. I have reglued it several times, the only glue that holds was put on by me.
I think I'll call Vararam and ask for a new filter.
Important: If you buy the K&N from anyone other than VARARAM, you will need a FOAM GASKET to make it seal.
