:seeya Welcome to the forum Posi. Given your criteria you probably should be moving to the heads/cam/headers/exhaust area. You can get some pretty decent numbers approaching what you're looking for. If it's still not enough then you can still always bolt on a blower and keep the boost reasonable enough to keep your streetability intact. Some of the guys on the Forced induction/Nitrous board can give you some good scoop too on what your trying to accomplish.

Good luck,
Robert :)

Heads / Cam ( I hear Cartek Stage II's are tried & proved ) & ATI Procharger @ 7psi ( You will hear of the Magnasun but you will also need to purchase a new hood for clearance so stick with the ATI ). This combo will make you :)
:steering: :seeya

P.S. You may also want to upgrade your intake manifold to an LS6 + 28.8 lb injectors ( all years except '99 & '00 ) I did, since the tend to hinder performance beyond the 400 hp mark.

I would do heads/cam/magnuson. That is the route I will be taking. Yes you will need a new hood with the magnuson unless you want to cut a hole in your stock hood. There is a guy on here that did that and it looks awesome. By going w/ the magnuson you will be getting more power at lower rpms. With heads/cam/magnuson you should be right around 500 rwhp. Kaley

All so I would look at what LG Motorsports can do. They can get you beyond 500 RWHP with good street manners to boot. Welcome to the forum, keep us post on what you do.

472 rwhp from a Cartek Stage 2-X Rev. 2 H/C package that will run 10's all day long... 10.59 on ET streets, and 10.72 on Drag radials... all for under $10,000

I'm running Cartek Stage II Heads, cam, Magnuson, and long tubes....my numbers are in my signature....car is normal under every condition except full throttle...then it's normal times 10

On another note...if you end up looking for heads/cam I will have mine off in about a month or so and going to stage III's. If you can get to Jersey you're welcome to take a ride...

If you do not want an aggressive exhaust note you may give up a few ponies in your quest but it's all about your preference. I'm running the Borla XR1 race system and it is very loud...and I love it!!!

Best of luck....

Welcome to the forum. Here you will find no shortage of advice on how to spend your money. I would very highly recommend not getting into the dyno hp games. For me it's more objective to figure out what type of 1/4 mile MPH you want to run (very good ETA's tend to be abusive on the clutch in my opinion). Where do you want the power ? Off the line, mid-range, up high ?? What type of driving do you do ? Quarter mile? Road course ? Is this a daily driver or a weekend toy ? Do you want to eventually be able to reverse your mods? A turbo or supercharger might be more easily reversed than a heads / cam combo for example. I think the twin turbo route would satisfy your objectives nicely. As for costs - the twin turbo kits range in price from the TTi key for $10-12K to LPE's 50K system. If you are able to figure out what you really want out of your car before you start modding you will be much better off.

Regards,

Mark
