Other day my headlights wouldnt work properly. Brought it into the dealer, the car has a GMPP on it, and the mechanic found corrosion on the wiring harness. I am being charged 4 hours or labor for the diagnostic time.
Another issue I had was ambient temp sensor. This harness was also corroded, and I have to pay for the harness and for the labor.

Re: Does this seem odd??? (Killrwheels)
could it be damage from a previous leaking battery, common in the Vette. Why did the warranty not cover it anyways ??
Don't think battery acid corrosion would be a problem for these particular connectors. The ambient temp sensor and most all of the headlight related connectors are up in the front of the vehicle.
Water intrusion into weatherpak connectors is rare. Maybe if there has been previous work done on the vehicle in which the connectors and/or harnesses were disconnected and then not re-connected properly after the work was completed. Anyone else?
first, did you sign a repair order?if so,how much time[diagnostic]did you agree to?usually most dealers have a minimum diagnostic charge[the law states that all shops must post a minimum diagnostic charge,it's posted in the dealer and it's printed on the repair order-"minimum diagnostic labor charge{be it a 1/2 hour or 1 hour}].if a technician needs more than that to diagnose the car,the service advisor must contact you for a approval to go ahead.if he doesn't,you are not responsible for any extra time.if you agreed, once the cause has been determined, the service advisor must call you with a estimate on the repair,to which you either agree to or you don't.i'm not sure if a gmpp covers wiring,it might, depending on which one you have.you would have to read the booklet you got when you got the warranty. i know the ambient temp sensor is behind the front bumper,so water probably corroded that connector.what exactly was wrong with the headlamps?
