I would suggest contacting Mike at Yank with your specific requests/questions before purchasing a unit that may make you unhappy. Go straight to the source (smart idea huh ??)
thats not what i wanted to hear....im going to add vararam soon...but i am only trying to get the car into 12's....so i wont see too many mods after converter/airbox.....i dont want to perform a mod that doesnt make sense....ok, all the smart/experienced C5 guys lets hear your input....

When you install a high stall converter your shift points will not be as firm as before. Unless you have your shift points firmed up by reprograming your computer. Which Yank 3500 do you have (SY3500 or ST3500) the SY3500 has a low STR and will feel rather loose with your 3.15 gears. The ST3500 has a high 2.5 STR and will not feel as loose as the SY3500. Installing a tranny cooler is a VERY good idea when you install a high stall converter it is cheap insurance. If this converter came out of a C5 it will work in your car, 97-04 there all the same. I would recommend you also install at least 3.42 gears with your T/C, not only will you get better performance they will also improve your cars driveability with a high stall converter by making it feel tighter.
its the SY3500 model.....ok, now im having second thoughts because Ive already heard gears are around $500 for a set.....add that to cost of converter....install price...tuning....ill be at 1600-1800 before i know it.....guess ill have to start a new thread and see best mods for spending less than $1000......
thanks everyone for your help.....
