I have been having idle issues ever since installing my Stealth cam. Finally got it to calm down a whole lot by replacing the MAP sensor behind the intake. It idles a lot smoother now...much more like a 220/220 cam should and doesn't surge at all now.
Re: Idle is much improved now after sensor change (flynbludream)
Can someone please explain what the MAP sensor has to do with idle ? I used to think if you have problems with an idle either you computer tune it or largen the throttle body hole .

Mine doesn't idle smoothly either.....Did the idle relearn, had the injectors cleaned, new plugs, wires, air filter......ya-da, ya-da, ya-da. Sometimes when I'm tring to drive slowly (just a little above idle) my car will go into a "bucking" mode. It's not that I'm going to slow in too high a gear (luging) I have 4:10's and it still happens. 1998 with 84,000 miles
