well i made a trip to oklahoma yesterday to make a exhaust trade with a member on the board (Grave digger), did'nt get one ticket on the way out there :hurray:
My dyno numbers before the Corsa were 368RW, 355trq, now they are 378RW, 363Trq, the exhaust i had on there the stock z06,
That's a solid gain...thanks for sharing the results. :)
Any idea what the weight of this system is compared to the stock Z06 Ti exhaust?
I really wish there was another titantium system out there (besides the race pipe setup) that would sound "good", but not obnoxious and keep the weight down.
Congrats, 10rwhp is a good gain with only a exhaust mod :yesnod:
WA 2 FST,
You have the Borla titanium system and Corsa Titanium. I'm running the Corsa titanium competition system. I thought the box was empty when it arrived
It weighs about 35.5 lbs. less than stock C5 aluminized system
17.5 lbs. less than stock C5 Z06 titanium system. If you want a little less sound you only have to add their titanium rear mufflers which adds 7lbs. http://www.corsaperf.com/c5titanium.htm
John Lingenfelter did a corsa Indy swap for stock on a C5 two yrs ago in Vette or Corvette Fever magazine and the Indys made 8-10 rwhp and 7-8 tq . My car with Vortec ram air & 172 thermo ran 13.18 1/4mi and after the Corsa's went on I ran a 12.92 1/4mi the 1st time out after new exhaust install. They perform and sound great.
BTW no cats either
Just wondering, but could the 10 hp gain come mostly from removing the cats rather than from a different exhaust.
I don't have a Corsa exhaust but I did change from my stock Z06 Ti's to GHL's and I gained 8 rwhp and 12 rwtq.....I did it this way....I dynoed my car with the stock Ti's about 5 times and then immediately installed the GHL's and dynoed again about 5 times to get a good average.....This is the most accurate way to measure HP gain.......oh I did have headers
Did you have cats prior to putting on the Corsa's--if you did all the gain you have came from removing the cats, I had corsa's and when I added the blower to the H/C package we had the car on the dyno, dropped the corsa's and mounted the GHL's and gained 18rwhp and 18rwtq--I have seen little gain from corsa's on the dyno, could be they have improved them since I had them, if you had no cats prior to the corsa's then I am impressed if you removed the cats when you installed the corsa's that is where all the gain came from, very typical gain for removing cats---

no the cats were already off, the 368 dyno was with TPIS headers no cats, stock h pipe, and stock z06 exhaust, i gained a solid 10 just by switching exhaust
Im thinking of changing out the stock to corsa, Indy,Touring or ti with mufflers. Trying to reduce the resonance created by Cam and no cats. Any opinions? Dont want it too loud either. Are the indys louder than the ti with mufflers? Anyone see gains with the touring over stock? Thanks
