Is there a difference in performance. I here the Pace Car is more muscle car sounding while the touring is not as loud and more exotic car sounding. I have heard clips of both and the pace car sounded more exotic because it was more of a higher pitch sound at WOT while the touring was more of a throaty sound. Thanks for the help
Get the Pace Car or also called Indys. They sound better and are lighter. The Touring weigh a ton and sound close to stock, but sound decent at WOT, but not NEAR as aggressive as the Pace Car which I liked much better.
OK, I had the Pace/Indysand Loved them, but I took off my cats and did several other mods and ithe car was way too loud. I swapped my Pace Car for a set of Touring and it is perfect.
If your stock or almost stock you will hate the touring and wished you had gotten the Indys IMO. Get The Indys
:D

I've had my Corsa Indy exhaust on for about a few weeks now, and I love them. A very nice cruise, but wow do they make some great sound during accelleration!
I don't think that there is any notable performance difference between the Corsa Touring and Indy/Pace Car exahust.
Sometime soon I'll put on my Stainless Works LT headers, Random cats, and S.W. intermediate and crossover pipe.

I have the Tourings and mine's mostly stock. I'd generally agree with this. I don't hate my Tourings, they're a big improvement over stock, but if I was doing it all over again, I'd get the Indys. That said, though, if you're going to do head & cam work on the car, consider the Tourings - the Indy's are freakin' loud on a modded car.
I had the Indys & really liked them, but when I put on headers they were too loud. Now the Indys are sitting in the garage. The point is that I agree that the Indy's are great on an cars that are not heavily modded.
i just came inside from installing my corsa tourings. i'm very happy with the sound. slightly louder than stock, more exotic tone and at wot they scream. i went with the tourings because i want to ease into the bolder sound. next year i'll be doing headers, so it'll definitely be louder at that point.
i believe that performance gains are the same which ever way you go.
I tried the Tourings and with my mods I hated them. They were just right for sound volume or loudness, but I hated the tone, at idle, at cruise and at WOT. Too exotic, didn't sound like a V-8 Vette at all. I sounds like a small cube V-12, with a odd tone to it. Driving and listening to them Inside the car they sound alot different (worse) than listening to then Outside the car.
Then I went with the Z06 Ti an they are just about perfect. Something else to think about.
You really want to think about the end result you'll have with additional mods. I wanted an aggressive sound so I went with the indys and they sound awesome. I just put on TPIS headers and also have the BPP Vortex air system and now at WOT you can hear me a mile away... its all muscle and it really really really turns heads and gets attention. If thats not what you want...this might not be the set up. regardless, you gotta get rid of the stock pipes
Hey thanks for all of the replys everyone. How much heavier is the Touring than the Indy? I am planning to put a cam in the car and probably a corsa x-pipe with random tech cats. Would this still be ok with the Indy system. I want to be loud, but not to loud if you know what I mean. Thanks again everyone!
I have the Touriings and x-pipe and they sound perfect to me. Be aware that they will get a bit louder as time goes.
There is a great deal of difference in sound between cars that have pre-cats and those that don't. The Tourings may not make enough noise for you if you have pre cats.
I'm not sure when GM started installiing them. I think it was in 2001. It's easy to tell. Just look under your car and see if you have 2 catalytic converters or 4.
As for the Tourings being heavier than the Indys, I really really doubt that!

I had the Corsa Indy's and loved them. Once I installed TPIS Headers and a Random Tech X-Pipe w/high flow cats, they didn't sound as good. I just put on a GHL system and love it.
So, IMHO, I would consider GHL's and Brian nad Jeff are awesome to deal with at http://www.ghlmotorsports.com Good luck with your decision!
Bandit Again, sorry Dexter, I didn't mean the Touring are AWEFUL and you would HATE them, but most who get them and were deciding between the 2 wished they had gotten a more aggressive sound. I have been on this forum almost 3 years and I see it time and time again.
now REMEMBER I HAVE THE TOURING on my car, but only because without cats the indys were a nightmare and now I just added LT headers, and more mods and the touring will hopefully be plenty loud.
Touring is DEFINATELY heavier than the Indys. I had both and the Touring weigh a noticeably more when you pick them up. I almost threw out my back when I took them out of the box.
I think they are about 12 lbs heavier than the pace car. I just got them for the sound. I was going to go with the Z06 but they sound tame for my taste.
Good Luck

I have the Tourings, LT headers, High flow cats and a basanni X-pipe... believe me it is plenty loud... and keep in mind that Indys on a stock car can be heard 1/4 mile away at WOT...
