Default Yes another clutch question

Today I put my new LS6 intake on. Take Her out for a shake down, She ran great until I dumped the clutch of a light. Very mushy start and a bunch of clutch smoke.
So the question is whats the best clutch for my car? I won't be getting much over 400 rwhp. Is this a job to do myself. (I've done many clutch jobs but not on a C5) If not, what can I expect to pay for the job?

We use the Spec stage 3 and have had really good luck with them. It has a very good feel and is very streetable. Give us a call if you have any questions.. :seeya

For your power level the Spec Stage II will work fine. I've had mine for 10,000 miles works great. Some folks here in town have had their Stage III's continue to chatter after breakin, do a search, see what the forum users (larger population) say. :seeya

I went with the spec stage III, and am completly satisfied. It still chatters on occasion but I don't mind. The stage II should be fine for you if you want a more streetable clutch. I payed 900 to have it put in. Many people say that it is about a 10-15 hour job if you do it yourself. Changing it basically requires taking out the back half of the car. I wouldn't do it unless you're very confident in yourself. Good luck with whatever you decide :)

You need to get used to the Stage III. I don't even notice it anymore, feels stpck to me. If someone borrows my car, they tell me it needs a clutch because it shudders.
I usually tell them, "No, its becasue you're driving it like a Honda, rev the motor and let your foot up. Got mine at ECS.
