I have a 2002 Z06 with stock rims that has about a 3/16 bend on the inside of the rim. I'm not sure if this is an aluminum or mag. rim. Can it be straghtened. Has any one done this?
Hi, Allan - no, my tire shop sent it out for repair. In LA, you might check out http://www.wheel-repairs.com in Sta. Ana - I talked with them at Cruise for a Cure & they seemed to be a pretty good outfit.
Thanks, Steve. I sent them an email. I have two "wagon wheels" from the '98 that are slightly out-of-round - no visible damage, and the wheels can be balanced but not perfectly.
How's tricks? Haven't seen you in a while. As you can tell by the sig, I wound up buying an '01 (from a Porsche dealer in Riverside). The other deal we had talked about didn't work out because of the leasing company.
These guys are great!!! I had the wheels re-done on my 93 ...1 dent..1 curb rash.. all 4 stripped re-done $500.'s and a two day turnaround. The wheels looked new!!!
