Do a search, I'm pretty sure I've seen it on here before. If I remember right the problem is the low amount of current that the HID's pull. When you turn off the lights the computer won't lower them until it 'senses' that they have turned off, but the low current draw of the HID's isn't enough of a difference for the computer to realize they arent still burning. You might have to install a load resistor also. You should find what you need with a good search of the archives.

IF that's the problem, the resistor would have to be spliced inbetween the two STOCK wires for the low beams. That should be the yellow and black on the drivers side, and tan w/white stripe and black on the passenger side. Check out this schematic to verify the colors (ignore the 'drawn in' relay, that shows how to have your low beams stay on when you're using your brights).

Check out the load resistors about half way down this page, they are $5 for each kit. (I don't have any personal experience with this company, I just found it with a quick search)
Please understand that I'm not sure the resistor will solve your problem. Before you spend more $, have you re-connected the stock bulbs to make sure that the lights retract again? Is that even possible the way you connected them (plug-and-play HID's or hard-wired)? Did you check the fuse for the headlight motor? I'm at work now (yes, working on Thanksgiving SUCKS, but I am getting tripple-time) so I don't have my service manual, but I'll try to look when I get home to see which fuse to check.
Check fuses 3 and 4 under the hood for the headlight motors.
