I noticed that my car starts to wheel hop when I get on. When I leave a stop light and push hard the back end starts to hop. I usually let off. If I try it carefully I can launch with out spining the tires and from wheel hopping. Is there anything I can do to get rid of this wheel hop? HAL shocks? Different suspension? Anybody else having this problem? Thanks for the help.
I'm using Potenza S03 tires all around. Car still wheel hops. I guess I might have to go with different suspension. Any suggestions? Would changing out to stiffer shocks and poly bushing help?  :steering:
At the track my car used to wheel hop bad on the 1-2 shift with the stock F1 SC tires......When I switched to drag radials the wheel hop is non existent.
Mine had wheel hop with stock, Mich. MXX3 tires, and M/T E/T streets when I took it to the track.
Lowered car 3/4in and put Penske gas adj. shocks on the front and rear. This cured my wheel hop. Shocks have 6 adjustments and the #2 setting works the best. This is softer than stock, but no wheel hop with any setting. Seems to have better traction with a light setting.
Use to hop at 60mph..Not fun..Hope someone posts with Hals or another less expensive shock. Penske's are $$$$.
Mine used to hop as well. I lowered the car and the hopping went away. It would still do it at the track so I tried diff tires and then it went away. I am running BFG drag radials on the back. Kaley

It's the nature of the beast......my 98 coupe still does it with non-runflat Bridgestones. It doesn't do it if I really come out hard and get the tires spinning....then it's a cloud of smoke and a high-ho-silver..........away.
