Knock....Piston slap ??????
Anybody have a noisey engine? Mine seems to be a bit noisey at start up then settles down. Sounds to me more like valvetrain noise. I read the bulletin on the oil pump "O" ring. Taking the car over to the dealer tomorrow for him to have a listen. As luck would also have it the Intake is "whistling" while it works :lol: I'm going to have them replace it since there is a bulletin out on that as well. Anyway, I have read that GM is having piston slap issues with its engines but its in the 5.3 4.8 and 6.0 V8s. Anybody have to get their engine R&R ed? You would think for as long as they have been building this engine (350cu) they would have some of these issues resolved.
