Why don't you just have LS1 Edit installed and tell them to readjust the tranni to hold the gears longer and shift harder? That's what I did and the tranni shifts real hard. What's nice is that if you are easy on the gas it will shift almost like the stock setup but once you get into the gas a little get ready to have your head snap back, especially first into second. At the same time you pick up some more HP and torque at the rear whells from the LS1 Edit install.
Brawny C5,
You won't be disappointed. I have a 600HP Nova with $2000 into the tranni and it has a shift kit. I can't tell the difference between the reprogrammed tranni to shift harder or the shift kit install. What I mean is that if I was told that a shift kit was installed in the C5 I would believe it as opposed to knowing that nothing but a computer reprogram was done to get it to shift harder. I know what both feel like and I kind of like the idea that the tranni in the Vette can just be reprogrammed back to the way it was. Not that I would do it because the car is a whole lot quicker.
