Will the upgrade from stock (coupe '00) to Hotchkiss sway bar kit keep same smoothness to ride but improve cornering? What about the much less expensive Z06 sway bar set including bushings? :auto:
Hotchkis is a bit stiffer than the Z06 bars. I recently installed the Hotchkis setup and it was a very big improvement over my stock bars ( i have the F45 option). Ride was not affected one bit. The sways tighten up the handling around curves/corners but don't stiffen the ride.
It was a very satisfying mod. Btw, I used the stock metal endlinks rather than the Heim links.
I went from the base susp. to hotchkiss!
all I can say is WOW!
Huge difference...
my ride did stiffen up just a bit but not enough to really notice...

I just purchased the Hotchkis package from L.A.P.D. for my '04 C5 w/ F55 suspension. I've heard nothing but great things! I'm having them installed on 5 December and would be happy to share my experience - before and after.
I installed the Z06 sways on my stock suspension and found no ride deterioration and the cornering is definately flatter with better steering response. The wallow and skiddishness on rough roads is gone. This was important for me since most of my driving is on winding back roads that are less than perfect. Changing out the run flats had an even the bigger impact though. Car and Driver did recent article comparing Vette suspensions and tires. Good article.
