Ok so after a trip to Bowling Green with a buddy who's had a vette a tad longer than I, we came to the conclusion that my driver side headlight is out of alignment. Anything special to aim these? I don't have my manuals handy so if anyone could tell me if there's some big step that might not seem obvious it'd be great. I know you can turn the lights on and then turn back to the driving lights only and you keep the lights up.
The way I do it is drive up to my garage door and turn on the lights, then align the high beams straight ahead and even heights. Drivers low beam should dip to the side. You adust them with a ???-I call it a ball driver. Maybe a torx socket on a 1/4 inch drive extension will do, but you have to pop out the round disc in the inner sides of the headlight bezel. Both adjustments are there. One is up/down, the other is left right (one of them is hard to see).
Good luck.
I would like to suggest that you go to the PYFC web site, under the Corvette section and look up the installation instructions for their European Headlight Conversion. At the end of the instuctions is detailed explanation on how to properly align your headlights.
Oh yes, if you want to significantly improve your headlights, buy the high-wattage European headlight conversion they sell.
