if you disconect the shocks you will get a code that will not let you drive over 85mph ,I had mine lowered with the f45 still connected ,if you are going to go with different shocks you can have the f45 turned off in the computer or do like I did you use 3 watt 15 ohm resistors .You put the resistor inline between the two wires after you disconnect the plug from the shock .Good luck :cheers:
