They all work and the principle is very simple. Find your best deal and go for it! Others will tell you they built their own with a resistor from Radio Shack, but I like the aftermarket units because they give you a clean receptable for your unplugged connector.
Just go to Radio Shack and get a 2.2k ohm 1/2 watt resistor. It is the same thing and only a few cents. You may have to buy it in a bag of 10 for all of a dollar or so.
Can't you just unplug the thing from the solenoid in the transmission and get the same results for free?
I did this on a Z28 I once had and it worked fine. I haven't even bothered to disconnect it on my C5 because it isn't really a problem once I learned when to shift to avoid the lockout.
It really isn't "rocket science" to learn how to avoid the CAGS. :jester

I agree!
There are a number of them for sale by various vendors, and if you look at them, they do not all look the same. Fit and finish is important to me regardless of the fact that it is out of sight, and one can not always tell by a picture in a catalog.
