Default Clutch bleed question

I'm in the middle of installing a spec stage 3 clutch and flywheel, and also replacing the slave. I was wondering why you couldn't just bleed the slave while it is hanging there before you put everything back together. I have a power bleeder and was just going to put a few lbs. on it and open up the bleeder, it seems like it would be easier than doing it after you install it back up in the tube. Maybe I'm missing something obvious

I don"t see why you coudn't. Sounds logical to me. Are you doing this yourself on jack stands? If so how is it going? I'm on the fence right know.

I do have a lift but the job isn't as bad as I thought it would be, and with a car up on jacks high enough it wouldn't be too bad. I found that you don't have to take the drivline assmebly completely out, just back about a foot to be able to work on the cluth. You could just leave it on a trans jack and slide it back out of your way. You need a trans jack for sure though, it is heavy!! Heres a couple of pics. Eric

Eric, thanks for the reply. You are building my confidence. If I go ahead, as I proably will I'm going to 4.11 gears. I think it is more time consuming than diffacult. Have you thought about a remote bleeder on the clutch??

I'm doing this job on jackstands as we speak.

As you can see my car is not very high off the ground.
