Remote is acting up - help!
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? Should I consider the remote to be bad or my corvette for not recognizing the remote? The remote must be sending stuff without pushing buttons (or the computer is just messed up and thinks it's reading something) so I'm not sure where to go from here. I do have a spare that I haven't messed around with yet.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!!
thanks!!

Mine started doing this so i switched to my spare remote that i never used. It did the same thing. I would then have to do the resync hold buttons together forever to lock/unlock. What seems to work for me is clearing out the dic codes as well as doing the full relearn of the remote following the manuel putting the key in to the on position etc etc. IT seemed to make it stop for a while.
Seems like something is malfunctioning on the c5 side of things in my opinion. I have seen so many people talk about it i am surprised there is not a TSB on it out yet.
you mention the remote would unlock without pushing a button, make sure the passive switch is in the off position.
if your tire pressure sensors are giving you readouts, chances are your receiver is ok since they both operate on the same frequency.
In any case, open up the remote and make sure the contacts are contacting the battery and that the + and - contacts are not touching each other.
