Default Stinger vs XR-1

Can anyone tell me how the sound of the Borla XR Stinger exhaust (with or without an X pipe) compares to the XR-1. Have the XR-1 on my 95 C5 and love the sound but the resonance at 2-2.5 krpm is deafening with the windows up. Could I expect the Stinger to help in that regard?

cary from the forum has the stingers, they have a nice low growl on idle and rough roar when you get on them, but in cruising speeds and in mid rpm's they are not as loud as the xr-1s which i have...the stingers have a lower tone as well...

the xr1s and louder at idle, and much much louder at cruising...to the point i cant always here the radio or carry on conversations with the passenger right next to me and i wouldnt have it any other way....the sound is a little higher pitch, not like a ricer, but more like a drag car....not as much sound when you hit throttle, but more when you reach consistant rpms....

you really want sound combine each system with the lg production headers and x-pipe or lt headers....

XR-1 here.. I think it's too quiet.. but I'm about to install headers.. which will probably make it too loud  If so, I'm going to look at trading for a Z06 exhaust w/elec cutouts.. then have it as loud as I want whenever ;)

Have the XR-1 on my 95 C5
By the way, that's probably one of the rarest C5's I've ever heard of.. :D

I wouldn't say much louder.. more resonance with having the resonator right underneith ya maybe.. I've only had mine on the car for a couple months. It's ok, but not as mean as people made it out to be on here.. I was sort of disappointed with it, but then I currently have stock manifolds and cats on too.. I've heard from a couple of people that with headers and no cats, it's night and day.. we'll see ;)
