Well, it's been about 3 weeks since I installed my Tiger Sharks. Thanks to all of you that replied. Remember the alignment of the Tips is just not acceptable for a set of this price. Jim Browning at Corsa, is working with me, however, I 'm sorry to say that EXtreme Motorsports has not been professional. I sent Jim some pictures of the problem and he is sending some new elbows. I'll be in Dallas 12-11 through 12-15. I'm meeting with Jeff at
Corvette Service Center in Carrollton ( dallas). Hopefully he can help. He's off of I-35.
Will keep the forum advised.
Nick
Common problem with the corsa system,, I know I have the daytona tips .. what a pain the **** .. :( .. sorry to hear about Extreme .. what kind of customer service did you.. get or not get .? ..Joe
Joe, regarding Extreme Motorsports. They told me I could purchase another set of Corsa's and they would pick-up the first set. ( Thats about $930 on my crdit card, AGAIN). Then "if" Corsa inspected my first set and Corsa determined they were okay, I would then own TWO sets. From my side of the table, that's not customer service. I hate it too, not only don't my pipes line-up, Extreme has the best prices on the Vortex Rammer and the Hurst Shifter.
Guess I'll give that commission to another vendor...
Could not get my GTR replacement exhaust to align either. Jim was extremely helpful and offered to climb under car in parking lot of hotel while meeting down here. First installer said their jigs were incorrect, and based on many comments it appears to be valid. Vince (Vstella) offered a referral and within an hour the second place had installed, and tack welded the entire exhaust. Other than tips are different sizes, they look much better.
Nick,, I had the same problem - ordered mine thru WCC - I called Corsa on a Sat and spoke w Jim .. after a few Hrs trying to line up the tips .I called back and they agreed to ship me a new muffler .. (1) for the right side .. still did not line up correctly .. finallly had Carmen form the vette drs .. line them up after installing my headers - he then tack welded them in place .. was okay until we removed them this past wed.. to installl a 4.10 rear from ECS .. had same problem again .. Doug has a unique way of making them look perfect ..
and all is well again .. :D .. This should not be your problem :( .. and you should have received better service from either Extreme or Corsa .. I dont blame you for being pissed .. hope this resolves in your favor.. Joe
Being **** retentive like most C5ers, I tried to get my Corsa Pro Tips exactly right. That is - having the tips exactly in line AND exactly parallel to the ground./chassis.
I messed with the system for what seemed like an eternity. I got them to look good - but never perfect. Corsa's customer service was no help at all. One rep stated that the systems are handmade and that slight variations should be expected.
I ilke the end result, but I expected more help and better fit and finish from a top line supplier.
I have the Corsa Indy Pro's and have had them 4yrs now and have had no problemkeeping them lined up. They have been removed by MTI several times over the yrs and they still look and sound great.
