What should I do With my heads and cam to make my car pretty quick about around 10's :D I would like to stay as cheap as possible but good service and does any one know someone to do this in Oklahoma or Wichita? Dallas would be ok to if it isnt too high. I'm shooting for under 6,500. If thats even possible.
Rule #2 - Heads and Cam alone will not get you into the 10's.
All that said, you need to do heads, cam, exhaust, rear differential, S/C or turbo to get the vette into the 10's. The car is too heavy to do it unassisted.
My guess would ne around $15K to get you into the 10's.

Re: Heads? (jeanlucpicard)
Stage 2 LS6 ported / milled heads, fly-cut pistons, Comp Cam 230/224 .598 111lsa, Hardened pushrods, ported LS6 intake and throttle body, Blackwing, LS1 Edit, wideband O2, TPIS LT's w/off roads and X-pipe into B+B mufflers, ASP pulley. This setup with some street-slicks and a good driving technique will have you into the 11's and if you pick up most of the stuff used you would only be around $4-6k. A 100-shot should bump you hopefully into the 10's. (Can't say exactly cuz I don't have NO2)
We're running a December special on heads & cam right now featuring Patriot heads & one of our cams :)
$1675 for stage 2 5.3l heads
TSP Cam
TSP Pushrods :) :)
We've gone 10s heads cam, but it usually takes a pretty radical setup including alot of gear :)
What would the best the BEST cams for this because this kid just got a 03 cobra and wants to race. And I wanna beat him so bad to keep the vette number one in this town!!
