Tommorow I plan to buy some Kook's from the vette doctor's (great price guys!) Here is my dilemma, I want to run electric cutouts, where should they go? :( Originally I thought right behind the headers was good, this allows for purchase of headers only and screw the rest of the exhaust. Problem being no X- pipe.
Other option is to purchase a Kook's system with x-pipe and cats with the cutouts at the end of this system? Please help what will provide the most power? How bad will the exaust smell when the cutout are open? Can't wait to get this all done but dont know what the hell to buy thanks in advance guys!
an x pipe should still be able to fit with the electric dump valves after the header collectors. You'll just need to do some custom exhaust work there by shortening the x pipe.
Cutouts, headers, no cats? That would be outrageously loud. I have factory cats w/cutouts near the rear and I'd say it's loud when I'm on the gas but not like NASCAR!
