Bauer did mine w/ powdercoat. Shaner also does a good job. I seem to recall that when I was researching the larger / ported & polished TB mod, that there wasn't much favorable info on the BBK TB.
At that time of my research, Bauer & Shaner were the 2 names that came up on the 'boards, and I recall that alot of the hard core C5 / Z06 drag racers were pleased w/ the work of these 2 guys.
I'd recommend doing a search on this and other LS1 / LS6 message boards and gather your info before you make a decision and pay your bucks!

From what I have seen, a well ported stock unit is good enough. You dont need a BBK.
If I ever take mine off, I will take a picture of it. A friend of mine ported and polished it and it looks a lot better than the Shaner units I have seen. Not sure about Bauer.
