getting new transmission...need some advice..
I just finished a new tune and installed LT headers, xpipe, and !cats. Car felt really stronger, until my auto tranny shifted from 2 to 3. It slipped so bad it bang the rev limiter. :cry Took it to the shop today and the 3 to 4 clutch pack is dusted. So time for a beefed up one :D
I have some local options which will save me $$ from shipping. My question is should I get mine rebuilt with some heavy duty parts (would be similar to a level 4) for a total cost including labor $2500 or get a brand new GM with a 50K warranty.(Dont know the cost yet)..
I do have another option, but have no idea of the cost or where to get it done, but I would love to convert it to stick. Anybody out there who has done it please email me or post here and give me some information on it. Thanks

From what I've heard, converting to an M6 is not practical. If it were me, I would go with a beefed up tranny, assuming the shop is reputable.

I'd go with the our sponsor Dynotech's "Brute Strength" auto tranny. It costs $2395.00 installed.

Not really needed, but when we install the Level 4 at FLP, Dan makes some changes to the shift timing tables and torque management.
