I went down the same trail as you. Have the LS-1 Edit done.It will take care of the shifting, lower the temperature the fand are activated. The tuner can make your car run so much better.I wasted a lot of money by trying to do things without really knowing what I am doing. The LS-1 Edit is the only way to go.For the price of the Trans go Kit and installation, you willbe pretty close to a LS-1 Edit. You won't be sorry.INHO,its the best way to go. :chevy :chevy :flag :chevy :chevy

:iagree:

Go with an LS1 Edit tune up as mentioned above. Check the Yank Converters web site under FAQs, Yank does not recommend the use of shift kits.

I installed one in my '98 two years' ago and like it a lot; most owners use two spacers but I used one. The more throttle that is applied the tighter the resulting shift. If you do this at home make shure to get all the various directions you can and check each step.

correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't the transgo require torque management to be deleted. This usually requires a Pred, LS1 Edit, or Hypertech. By the time you factor this in, you might as well do the LS1 Edit

From everything that I have researched it does need to be cancelled, this was always the biggest problem I had with the kit. People said it was like night and day when they installed it, how did they know how much of the change came from the kit or from the LS1 Edit and firmed up shift points.

If I only knew,,lol,, I was hoping I did not waste my money,, darn,, but I guess I can always change the fluid...and not mess with the valve body....might be a good thing,,,,if it aint broke , dont fix it,, if the ls1 edit will do what the kit does,, hmmm,, will either one of these cause premature trans problems, I have heard the ls1 could if the pressures are too high,, but I gusee the kit could too cause thats what it does....sure was simple with the old turbo 350 trans,, so much for do-it-your-selfers....
