ok,i'm looking to install headers on my 03 z06 and i don't want to nickel and dime it.i would like to use the lgm's,but i e-mailed them with tech questions, but got no reply[i guess they don't want my business].my first question is with the rear 02's and check engine lights.have any of you had issues?if so,how did you get them resolved?should i look at any other headers, other than lgm's?if ecm reflashing is needed even with using rear simm's,what software was used?.i want to do this all in 1 shot and don't want to keep playin with it.my initial install was going to be the lgm's with random cats and the billy boat bullet exhaust, any input from the forum would be deeply appreciated-------thanks
Give LGM a call on the phone sometimes things get a little to busy to watch the computer all day long afterall it's winter and alot of people are freshening up their race cars so I'm sure this is one busy shop right now.You might be sorry if you don't give them a chance

Re: header questions! (dpd)
OK Before I post I am in no way trying to take business away from LGM...
You should look at other headers besides LGM, Do a little research on TPIS, kooks, or FLP... They make around the same power, maybe a little less because they don't come w/ a 3 in mid section, but you can buy one of those from some tuners, Stainless Works, or Mufflex... Chris at ECS ran 9's w/ the TPIS headers and a stroker, ATI + Nitrous... The Vette Doctors cars are running Kooks and I'm not sure which ones have them on, but they have a handfull of Low 10's - Low 9's C5s. I have heard some big gains w/ FLP and there 2 1/2 center section, but I haven't seen any times w/ them... I hope I helped, and remeber... Always do research on your mods... Don't just go to the one that everyone is using...
If you run with the cats on you should not have any problems with the rear O2's, if you run without cats you need O2 sims or LS1Edit (to turn them off).
As far as LGM goes they make a fine header, so do some of the others mentioned. I have had my FLP's on for about 18 months and love them. I suggest you research the full costs of the systems, including an X-pipe, and make your best judgement on value.
with the research that i have done,i have found if i use tpis or flp i have to weld in their h-pipe extension and i can weld in my cats[my car doesn't use the pup cats]and use the same rear o2's[just may need to make extension harnesses],if i use the lgm's,i use the rear 02's for the pre sensors and install rear simms for the posts.i really don't want to cut and weld[if i don't have to],because if i ever go to sell the car i want to be able to convert the car back to stock[i doubt i will ever get rid of it].is ls1-edit the best to use for flashing or should i check out predator, etc.?
Give LGM a call - you won't be disappointed with either their service or their headers! Email can be frustrating - best to pick up the phone and call them! Good luck with whatever you choose.

I put in Stainless Works. Limited lifetime guarantee, 13/4" primaries with 5/8" flanges, 3" collectors, 3" mid-section, 3" Random Tech cats, and 3" xpipe. They went in easy, I did it myself, have had no codes, and the system makes big power and torque over stock for my car. I have a true bolt-on special.
The FLP kit I have is all bolt in. It has headers with O2 bungs, your choice of cats or off road pipes (comes with both) and an X-pipe with 02 bungs that bolts to the factory exhaust. If you tune with LS1 edit, you can delete the rear o2's. The headers made power, but tuning it really brought out the power.
