Car ran like a champ...now this PCM code WTH please help.
My car ran a best pass to date of 10.38 @ 134!!! with a 1.55 60' ft. Now I am getting a PCM code: P1514 H C and it goes into a reduced power mode after I hit the gas a little hard . According to my check sheet, this is a "TAC System MAF Performance-A". What is it? and what is causing it? some of my friends here think that it is the Throttle body!!! I replaced the the stock TB with a ported one a little over a week ago and raced the car without any issues...now this!!! Any input??? Oh yeah, I run a dry NOS shot (120hp)
Thanks for your help. :cry :cry
Re: Car ran like a champ...now this PCM code WTH please help. (Myhardtop)
you're right it's the throttle body.
According to the GM manual you should check for:
inspect throttle blade for being broken, bent or missing.
inspect the TP sensor. If it is mis-aligned it wiil set this DTC.
check the drive mechanism.
The manual says if you find any of the above you should replace the TB.
That's about it. good luck.
Oh, and one more thing, Great Run !

Thanks Littleboyblu99, we think we figure it out. We checked the whole air track, from air box to the TB and it was leaking a little air... those stupid clamps chevy gives us are junk; it does not really hold that well. Test drove it and no codes or issues as of yet and hopefully not again. Maybe I should buy a smooth air bridge with real clamps. Well, let's hope that was the problem; I'll keep you guys posted in the event some one else experiences the same deal.
