Ok everyone, I am looking for some real world experience info on the best product/technique to prevent burnt plug wires after a header install.
I spoke to the Taylor rep today and he said that even the Cool Socks product will not prevent the wires from getting burnt. He said the heat will go right through the product. He suggested header wrap (the stuff that looks like an ace bandage), which is not something I care to do.
Any other suggestions????
TIA

He suggested the two best ways to keep the wires from being torched. Do both! You don't need to wrap the whole header, just the spot where the wires are close to the tubes.
