Default Fernco and Blackwing install.............Help?

Any ways, my plastic pins next to the air bridge dont want to line up with the B/W installed? WTF? They are to close to the motor end now? Also I bought a fernco to install and the damn thing is too short, it wont reach the engine? What gives? :withstupid:

I had to slightly shorten the black rubber coupler that attaches to the airbridge on my 03 but not sure in the earlier ones have it. Mine still doesn't sit down completely onto the mounts.
What's a "fernco"?

Fernco is a cheap homedepot part that replaces the accorbian bellows to the throttle body.
