Default Column Lock problem. Please Help! (search results=little help)

I've had this car (my first vette :D) for only 2 days, and the damn column lock has malfunctioned. :mad :mad Before anyone says "do a search", I did. But, it did not result in an answer to my question.
I am getting codes P1571, P1626, and B2723. Based on the code descriptions and some other information from my search results, I think my problem may be electrical. Maybe a loose ground? Another indication that a ground could be a fault is that I noticed EMI coming through the sound system for the first time today. Am I on the right track? If so, where are the grounding points for the PCM and BCM? Your help is greatly appreciated!

P1571 - Traction Control Torque Request circuit
P1626 - Theft Deterrent Fuel Enable Signal Lost
B2723 - Pass Key Detection Circuit

This is not a column lock problem, but more of a communication problem between the PCM and the BCM. Electro Magnetic Interference could interupt comminication or one of the modules has a problem. Where are the grounding points, I have no idea. I have never looked for them.

There is one ground strap located below the vacuum brake booster located on the left hand side of the frame. The ground strap bolt is located on the left side of the engine block, rear of the exhaust manifold, inboard of the heated oxygen sensor. You may need to raise the vehicle!

Good Luck!

Don't worry about the 1571 as long as it is history, it is a glitch in the 97's the other 2 codes look as though you may have an ignition cylinder problem.

Thanks for the replies! It sounds like a column lock simulator would not help me. If it is the ignition cylinder, I assume that it will have to be replaced by a dealer. Or is there something I can check for that can be corrected before I resort to taking it to a dealer?

Yes, it does. The strange thing is that the car was fine this morning! Maybe it was a column lock malfunction. Hope it was just a fluke! I will order a simulator today anyway.
Thanks!
