Default Finally dynoed! I am ecstatic with only a tiny ls6 cam in a coupe!

Well like the topic says i finally got my car to dynopro in denver, Co to get some baseline numbers. My mods are a twinflow intake, slp loudmouth, and a 2002 ls6 cam with 918 springs. No tuning whatsoever. The final numbers were;
352.6 rwhp at 5900 and 347.6 rwtq at 4700.
After dyoning we compared my graph to a stock 03Z06 and a stock 03 6sp coupe and it was amazing. Mine was a mirror of the z06 graph to 6000 rpms and then it pulled slightly more due to increased redline. Zo6 peak hp was 357.8. Now comparing it to the stock coupe was amazing. the coupe peaked hp at 307. What is amazing is at 4000rpms the stock coupe falls way off track compared to what mine and zo6 did. So overall i was very impressed. So i guess for everyone that was wondering if the cam is worth it would say definitely. Keep in mind the cam was installed and the pcm was not touched afterwards.. I will try to get a graph posted in the next day so everyone can see for themselves.

Hi neighbor! I also live in Parker, CO. I recently installed a set of LG headers
and Donaldson intake on my 2001 automatic. I went to DRAGON RACE ENG. to get an LS1 edit on their Mustang chassis dyno. I too was just amazed. With only the above mods my final numbers were 319 RWHP and 352RWTQ.
Just for clarification all of the dyno numbers are adjusted to sea level power, so actual thin air power is lower. I am sure your numbers are also adjusted to sea level.
Congrats on your numbers!

Lawrence, your numbers are reading lower because yours was done on a mustang dyno. My car was 60 hp short from what I pulled on a dyno jet.

Did you run the 13.7 at bandimere or Pueblo? Kaley

I'd love to know how they scale the numbers.

What were the actual measured numbers?

Also do you still have stock manifolds and cats?

This was done with stock manifolds and all 4 stock cats in place. The guy that dynoed the car said if the numbers were uncorrected i would lose about 5% for every 1000 ft of elevation therefore that would lower the number about 25-30%. I cant imagine driving the car at sea level. It would be amazing to find that extra 75 hp!

Correction factor here in Colorado is usually around 1.20-1.25 or so.

Take the listed torque, divide by that factor (say, 1.20), then you've got actual torque, and can calculate horsepower.

There are days here when the DA is 7000ft, and others when its 4000ft, so its hard to use a numeric fudge factor to determine SAE HP at this alt.

My 95 Z28 LT4+Hot cam car would run 13.9x in May (at bandimere), and would barely run a 14.2 in August (heat and humidity)

A while back a friend of mine laughed at my heavily modded car only running as fast as his CAI+exhaust car in Texas.

Anyways the 13.7 is excellent for Bandimere, so I'm definatly not knocking the dudes car.
