I don't have one yet although I'll get it as soon as Cartek has one available for active handling cars. Others seem like a nigtmare to install. As for burnouts I do 2nd gear for a few seconds at 4000-5000 and then roll out of it up to about 6000. I would love to hear any input about an easier to install linelock. :lurk:
Cartek put line lock on my 6 spd and I have active handeling. Line lock works fine at the track and I haven't notice anything unusal with the active handeling.

Where was the button located to activate the system?

Dave put it right next to the cigarette lighter. I didn't want the wife to see it because I didn't want to have to explain what it was. She just wouldn't understand.

Yes this is the reason why I ask of the location
The line lock is the same (different brands), however some like a different activation method. This is the best for me with the A4 that come with the TCI Roll Stop kit.
If you can't do a water box burnout without a line lock, I have to ask if your reflexes are quick enough to properly control the car should something come up?
It isn't difficult to do a burnout without line lock but not having one beats the crap out of your rear brake pads and rotors. You just have to rev up to 4500 rpm or so, dump the clutch, and move your left foot quickly from the clutch to the brake pedal. Once you're done, let up on the brake so you roll out but then get get back on the clutch with your left foot and on the brake with your right foot while easing up on the throttle. Just make sure you don't take out the track officials in front of you.
