I recently removed my Vortex Power Duct from my Blackwing (tired of it rubbing on my hoodliner, afraid it might not have been seated properly, yada yada...) Anyway, I had to trim the BW rubber coupler (again  ) to get the stock airbridge to fit and low and behold, the exhaust is much quieter ?! Not what I want, quiet is bad :D I'm gonna put it back on now, was it just a poor installation on my part or do aftermarket airbridges make that much of a difference in sound quality? Another ****le, I think I trimmed too much off of the VPD coupler (where it attaches to the throttle body). I can (or could, before I trimmed the BW coupler) still seat the clamp down completely on the TB lip, but should I not be able to this time around, how would I go about fixing this should the coupler not be long enough? Thanks in advance

Don't know, on my vette the COH airbridge I have made the intake whistle more noticable but not the exhaust.
With my vortex on the stock air bridge cut into the liner. I added a smooth power coupler and trimmed it to fit perfectly. The a/m air bridges are for cosmetics only as the stock one flows more air than the intake manifold can support. I know the exhaust got a bit louder w/ the vortex addition, but I don't wee how the airbridge would make any difference. Could all be in your head
