Climate Control Question...Help!!

Climate Control Question...Help!!
I posted this in C5 general....but wanted to get some technical comments.....
Alright everyone, I have a question. Just the other day I noticed that if I have the car running and set up the climate control mode to blow directly in my face, A/C off, and @ 70 degrees........then I turn the climate control off. Now when I turn the climate control back on the mode changes to blowing on my feet (the little diagram with the arrow pointing), the front windshield defrost comes on, and on top of that the A/C turns on.....Is this normal???? I would think think that the Climate control once turned off and turned back on would go right back to the exact settings that you had last. I actually took it to the dealership and they told me that it was normal......but I am a little skeptical......

I'm not supprised....mine seems to have a mind of it's own also. Sometimes when I just want to use the heater, the AC will come on also, if I try to turn off the AC, The AC button will start to blink. I know it's a climate control system, but sometimes on a cool night with the roof off, I would like to turn just the heater on. Maybe I'm doing something wrong....wouldn't be the first time. :rolleyes:
