Default Installing a Blackwing on a 99 C5

I bought it off a guy here on the forum and it came with only the filter and indicator... It does come new with a coupler to connect it from the 3.5" Mass Air to the 4" Donaldson right? What can I do to install it if I was shorted?

Thanks!!! Merry Xmas

I have the blackwing on my 99 FRC and did not have to use the adaptor coupler. The blackwing should fit to the stock air bridge just fine. It is tough to get the stock air bridge back on to the to hold down stubs, but you just have to really push the blackwing onto the stock air bridge to ensure it fits all the way.

Lowe's in the plumbing section. 3in. to 3in coupler.. it had a metal shield.
I removed the shield and flipped it inside out. I'll see if I still have the part #.

It's a Proflex Pt. No. 3000-33. There's a large ridge in the center, you may want to remove it for a better fit. Think it was about $7. :D

Guys, the blackwing opening is 4" and the mass air opening is 3"... Don't I need a hose that will fit over the 4"?

Thanks,
Kit

The material the coupler is made of is pretty flexable. Just roll the front edge and side it on.
