Rotor Won't Come Off
Help
I am replacing my calipers and rotors. One of my front rotors won't come off. I have used liquid wrench and banged on it all around with a mallet. It still won't come off. Any Ideas???

I held a piece of wood on there and banged it with a hammer. That's after I let it soak in WD-40 for a while.
Keep :smash:

Actually, that allows the hammer to go right through the wood onto the rotor, thereby making it (the hammer, not the rotor :D ) more effective.

Was the Liquid Wrench you used the blue can or yellow? The blue can is just like WD40, the yellow is the better penetrating oil. The stuff in the yellow can is all I use and I have never had a problem. Make sure you let it sit for awhile to penetrate good and then :smash:

Keep tapping and using penetrating oil, it will eventually come off. :smash:

If you have access to a torch you can heat the area around the studs. It will expand the rotor and crush the rust around the studs. PB Rust Buster is the best. In the rear make sure the E brake is off.

Get a big sledge hammer and smash :smash: the crap out of the rotor. Forget all this fancy schmancy soaking wood in WD-40 stuff.
Oh, and make sure you've removed the calaper bracket prior to all that :smash: :smash: :smash:
Happy Smashing
