I finally got the time to install my GHL Bullets and I'm finding that I can not seem to get the pipes to snug enough to prevent moving around. I have tightened the clamps to max torq but no luck. It is me or is the clamps provided a bit cheesy? I welcome your suggestions. I'm considering going to a muffler shop and having them welded.
Re: Am I missing something - GHL Bullets clamps (fcarga)
I just bought a used pair, and the person I purchased mine from said the clamps looked really nice, but are pieces of crap. He bought and sent me the U clamp type that are normally used on muffers. You cant see then anyway and we dont want any rattle right !. for the price, they should be better

I just went thru the same thing; they had some bad clamps! Call Cindy @ 877.730.0991 and I'm sure they'll send some new ones out to you.
I spoke with GHL recently, shortly after I purchased a set of four tip, 3.5 inchers. Beautiful tips, but not light and I believe they do have to be clamped hard not to drop down. I wasn't able to install mine as the weather moved in and now I have to wait until spring. They told me they're thinking of going to a heavy duty clamp. Call them, as suggested above. I'm sure they'll do the right thing by you. They're a class act.

Re: Am I missing something - GHL Bullets clamps (2k1vert)
Samething happened to me so I called GHL and they sent me some new clamps that they will start using....they are the Accuseal clamps.....they didn't hold that well so I had them spot welded. The reason the clamps didn't hold well is because the gHL's are very thick SS....the clamps are just not strong enough for the thick SS.
