Re: Alignment change after lowering a C5? (JasonFRC)
It certainly can, and we do encourage you to get an alignment. It is relatively cheap, and you could save that amount of money by reducing unnecessary wear on your tires over several thousand miles.

Re: Alignment change after lowering a C5? (1 BAD C5)
You not only want to get an alignment after lowering, most of the C5s that we see need a good 4 wheel alignment regardless of whether they have been lowered or not. In two years, I have only seen two C5s that had acceptable alignment settings for both ride, control and tire wear.
Make sure that when you take it to have it aligned, that the technician is familiar with aligning C5s, knows how to do a 4 wheel alignment (two wheel alignments on a C5 is a waste of time and money) and has balast (weight) to put into the driver seat to simulate you in the car and if you usually travel with someone else in the car put weight in the passenger seat too.
Take it with 1/2 a tank of fuel.

What is the difference between a 2 wheel & a 4 wheel alignment?
