How much do the CCW's weigh???
Is this one of the lightest wheels on the market? I notice everyone seems to be running these at the track. About how much do they weigh, compared to the chrome 97 C5 wheels?

Mine came already mounted & I didn't weight them, but I was suprised how light they felt when I put them on the car. Next time I have them off the car I 'll check! :yesnod:

My rear CCWs with ET streets mounted weigh 41 lbs each. Each ET Street weighs about 24 lbs. I have not weighed my front skinnies.

I can't answer your question directly because I don't have CCW's for my C5, but I do have a set for my C4 that might give you some indication. I autox the C4 with Kumho VictoRacers and compared weights of the wheel/tire combination between 5-spoke ZR1 wheels and CCW's. Front wheel/tire weight on 5-spoke is 53.0 lbs, on CCW's is 46.2 lbs (17 x 9.5). Rear wheel/tire weight on 5-spoke is 57.8 lbs, on CCW's is 51.2 lbs (17 x 11). Tires were the same on both, so the difference in weight between the stock wheels and the CCW's is 6.8 lbs on the front and 6.6 lbs on the rear - quite a bit of weight savings, especially given it's unsprung weight, and well worth it for autox use.

The Z06 wheel is already very light so mine was actually a hair lighter than my CCW. This is becuase the Z06 wheel had a bald tire and the CCW had a fully treaded Kumho. My 18x11 w/ 295 kumho was like 54 lbs or something.

It kinda sounds like these wheels are a bit heavy. If you're looking for light...although ugly...Kodiac wheels are 17.5# for a 17x11. These are the lightest 3 pc. CNC'd wheels I've seen: http://www.Kodiakracingwheels.com sj

Acorcing to Jon Purner of CCW..they are 21lbs. ..that's the 11.0 x 16wheel only. The 5 " x 16 is considerably lighter for the skinny. :yesnod:

FYI:
My CCW race wheel and tire set up was 5#'s MORE then the stock rim(thin spokes and runflats) and tire combo..
BUT, I went from 17x8" front w/ 245s TO 18x10.5" w/ 285's
and
18x9.5"rear w/ 275's to 18x12.5" w/ 335's
So a big difference in rubber.. I still wish they we're lighter then the stock set-up.

I just bought a set of 18/10 front and 18/11.5 rear with 275 front and 335 rear pilot sports. They are being shipped by fedx and they have them at 51.40 front and 56.60 rear. The wheels are ready to bolt on. I hope that helps.
