90mm I know that most of the blown factory motors use large throttle bodys but naturally asperated 90mm , Sounds like when I was younger and got alot of 600cfm carbs for cheap because every guy with a 327 thought they needed a 850 double pumper to go fast. I got a small block tunnel ram with two 1150 dominators and nos fogger . :D :D :D
You're right about too much aftermarket carburation in the old days, but I would expect that GM did its homework on this one, especially since it's a change from a number of years of smaller TB's.
I read it in a couple of non-GM announcements, but I'm still skeptical of a 90mm on a 400 hp 6.0. That's 44% more flow area than the current LS1/LS6 TB. Now that sounds about right for the reported 500 hp Z06 car for 2006.
Once or twice in the past media folks have misprinted specs and they have become "common knowledge". Count me as a skeptic so far.
stop strokin' it's a reality. The 90 MM throttlebody was part of the Detroit presentation concerning the C6.
