Does anyone know how to remove the screen on the MAF????

take a phillips head screw driver.... goto the left or right side.... carefully insert screw driver through screen...... bend up..... comes right out... becareful not to hit the resistors.

use a small knife and be careful not to touch the wires inside , or just let your local tuner do it, they do them all the time in five mins. good luck. :thumbs:

no need to reprogram... the added air will lean you out a little and create a couple extra ponies... no need to worry.. the LS1/LS6 is fat from the factory... so leaning out is okay.

I had the screen out on my '98 with bolt on's, no problems. After doing heads and cam, I had to put the screen back in to get it to run right -- even after ls1 edit tuning. The difference without the MAF screen seemed negligible, so you may want to reconsider.
