Re: Racetronix C5 Fuel System Information (Racetronix)
You site list the max for hp but what about a min at which this system would be advantagous? Like would a 400 rwhp drag race only car benifit from this system?

Re: Racetronix C5 Fuel System Information (REDGAR)
There is a wide window of RWHP support with the factory pump.
Walbro changed the pump a couple years ago as C5 owners were complaining about the wining noise coming from their tanks. We have seen factory pumps die out at 450RWHP and some hold in there up to 550RWHP. The only real way to tell is to put a fuel pressure gauge on your car and make some tests under WOT. If your fuel pressure is dropping too much then it might be time to consider an upgrade.

Please visit our web page for newly posted information on our plug & play C5 fuel system.

Could I purchase the wiring harness only???? cause for now Im going to install a boost a pump and hold off on the new fuel pump. The reason why I want the harness alone for now is because I dont want to cut and splice into my factory harness.
I spoke to andy@a&a corvette a few weeks ago and he told me that you guys are not selling the wiring harness alone. Both the pump and harness are sold toeghter as a package.
If you guys are selling the harness alone ill order it from a&a corvette.
Re: Racetronix C5 Fuel System Information (WiseGuyZ)
Racetronix will sell the harness alone but most dealers do not bother stocking it. If you would like you can contact A&A, Thunder, etc.. and have one special ordered.

Re: Racetronix C5 Fuel System Information (binksZ06)
This would be a judgment call that your tuner would have to make.
All high HP C5's have some fuel pressure drop with the factory return-less system. What most tuners do is look at the injector DC and the desired A/F. If the injector DC exceeds 80%, the fuel pressure is still dropping and the target A/F is unobtainable (with a reasonable degree of safety margin) then it is time to look into a fuel system upgrade. Larger injectors can help but at a point the fuel pressure will start to drop drastically. The injector PW tries to compensate for nose diving fuel pressures. It is like the proverbial pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, the closer you think you are getting the further away it actually gets ... unless you are a shamrock. A gradual tapering of fuel pressure with increased RPM / load is manageable. Ideally we would rather not see any fuel pressure drop at all but the ideal solution is not always at hand ... well at least not yet. :)
We have learned that there are minor variations to approaching a solution with the C5 fuel system by conversing with our dealers.
A rail-mounted fuel pressure regulator and return system which is referenced to manifold pressure is always the best solution.
Perhaps Andy from A&A will drop in and share some of his thoughts as a tuner on this subject? Andy has had great success using Racetronix product. His shop pumps out 600RWHP FI C5's using the Racetronix C5 fuel system with and without the MSD booster.
Re: Racetronix C5 Fuel System Information (blu00rdstr)
Yes, but we have no set ETA so don't wait around if you need something now.
The current system will work with all '97-'02 C5's. It will not have to be changed out later. The added parts will only complement the current system.
Re: Racetronix C5 Fuel System Information (Racetronix)
Ok I've been thinking of upgraading my fuel system as well. I have already ordered a fuel pressure gauge so I will monitor that first. A question though :
Is it worth getting for a mostly street car with less than 500 rwhp ? Your honest opinion please.
